The aim of secondary prevention actions is to win the race ahead of cancer, early detection of tumors before they evolve to a malignant state or in the early stages of the disease and especially cancer early diagnosis.

A small percentage (between 5 and 10%) of localized tumors are hereditary. Genetic counseling is some evidence offered to individuals with personal and family histories or suggesting genetic susceptibility to cancer. Although not all people who present this predisposition to develop it throughout his life. However, if diagnosed early, at the stages where it is located, it can be cured between 70 and 90% of the time.

Hence the importance of people, because of their age and sex belong to risk groups, participate in secondary prevention programs: early detection and genetic counseling, which are an invaluable aid for the early many oncological diseases.
